Welcome to La Verrerie...
Close to the picturesque Lac de Guerlédan and a few minutes away from Mur-de-Bretagne, La Verrerie de Guerlédan (or Guerlédan Glassworks) is located in the village of Caurel, in the very heart of Brittany.
My glass workshop is situated in the former village shop. In addition to making my own work, I offer a variety of courses which take place throughout the year and are suitable for beginners as well as those who already have experience of glass making. These courses range from short ‘taster’ sessions of half a day to week long events which can make an ideal holiday. My aim is to give participants an enjoyable experience learning about the exciting medium of glass and an opportunity to make something special to take away with them. The classes cater for individuals, small groups and families (sometimes even birthday parties!).
My partner, Ian, has renovated the old village bakery, which is now a Gallery. The original façade of the bread oven has been retained and provides a fascinating setting for the work on display. The Gallery sells items that I have produced in the workshop together with selected works of other artists.
You will find a warm welcome whether you visit the gallery, participate in a course, stay in our chambres d’hôtes, or just drop in to say ‘hello’!
